21 Year Old Man Found Guilty of Two Counts of Vehicular Homicide from Texting While Driving

On Monday, January 9, 2017, a judge in Iowa found a young 21 year man who was texting while driving in 2015 and ran through a stop sign as a result of being distracted, struck another vehicle causing an accident, and killing the two occupants of the other vehicle.  During the bench trial, screen shots of the young man's phone was shown and clearly indicated texting while driving causing the accident and the needless demise of the two occupants.  He is due to be sentenced on February 13, 2017 facing 20 years in jail for a text message.   Guilty Finding from Texting While Driving Accident.
